Publication Ethics
- Funding for the Sri Lanka Journal of Siddha Medicine (SLJSM) publication is exclusively from the Faculty of Siddha Medicine, Trincomalee Campus, Eastern University funds. Research funders should also be acknowledged by the authors of the research papers.
- SLJSM publishes only original works of the authors that have not been published earlier either in printed format or electronically. All authors submitting manuscripts must confirm that neither the manuscript nor any part of it has been published or is under consideration elsewhere. Authors must comply with best practices in publication ethics including authorship, dual submission, plagiarism, manipulation of figures, competing interests, and compliance with research ethics policies.
- Authors should follow applicable copyright laws and conventions. Copyright material should be reproduced only with appropriate permission and acknowledgement. Relevant previous work and publications should be properly cited both in the text and reference list. Authors should inform editors if findings have been published previously or if multiple analyses of the same dataset are submitted elsewhere.
- Copyright of the published papers remains with the authors, and SLJSM takes responsibility only for publishing the manuscript. Editors of SLJSM do not discriminate against authors based on gender, age, experience, social status, occupation, sexual orientation, institution, skin colour, religious or political beliefs, or ethnic or geographical origin. All papers are published solely on merit.
